Battlefront II Resurgence Online Saturday May 23rd 2026

May 4th was very lively on Battlefront II as usual. For 2026, fans are planning another resurgence online (on Console and PC) on the 40 person multiplayer mode of the game, which has sometimes been reported to face long queue times during periods of a low players.

I’ve hopped on Battlefront II a few times this month since May the 4th expecting to see the player count die down…but it didn’t.

I’ve had no problem loading in to multiplayer matches, some lasting many rounds and upwards of an hour.

Long story short - the people yearn for Battlefront 3. There have been rumors of developer plans to shift gears back to BF3 once they’ve run their course with the current Battlefield games, but this is not confirmed.

Player demand will play a big role in inspiring the developers to revisit the Battlefront series, particularly due to fan concerns of a lack of new content or potential added characters.

A few have stated they’d prefer to wait for a new generation of Star Wars to be released for a new Battlefront, but with the continued praise for and activity on BF2, it seems that most fans are ready for the third installment of the series ASAP.

Game resurgence will be on / online at PC, PlayStation, & XBOX
